Applications by role
Interstacks is designed from first principles to be modular and customizable. This allows MyStacks users with different responsibilities to benefit from real-time data and historical analyses while sharing a single source of “ground truth”, from the factory floor to the C-suite.
Typically, users will create multiple MyStacks dashboards to support different roles within an organization. Some are displayed at individual machines or on a large monitor over the factory floor, while others are used at a headquarters in a different city or country. We will summarize some typical applications for each scenario below.
Operators
Individual machine operators often use dashboards to track a machine’s productivity relative to a daily or weekly target, capture reasons for downtime, and to address maintenance needs quickly. They’ll typically access the dashboard from a tablet mounted on a single machine, or from their mobile phone.
Managers
Floor managers are able to create dashboards that show the status of entire production lines or factories in a single view, using colors or symbols to find and identify problems at a glance. They may then examine historical data from a single machine to assess an issue. These dashboards are typically designed for use on a desktop or large shared screens.
Technicians
Maintenance technicians use MyStacks to view and analyze historical patterns of vibration or temperature variation, and create alerts at certain thresholds. Finding patterns of wear enables technicians to predict failures before they occur, while creating alerts enables them to respond immediately and reduce downtime.
